Sway bar greatly affect how your SHO handles as well as body roll. Over the years the sway bars changed going from a more sporty handle to a softer handling. This also varied as different sway bars were used within the same year to make it more confusing.
A simple upgrade is to use the Gen1 sway bars to improve your handling. A generally favored combination is a 24mm front and 26mm rear sway bar works great for most SHOs. The sway bars come from west coast rust free cars so they will be in good condition.
Tech Notes
The 89-91 have 24/26mm sway bars
The 92 and 93 MTX have 24/23 sway bars
The 93 ATX and 94+ MTX/ATX varies.
96-99 SHO have 22mm front and 19mm rear.
The front will involve dropping the subframe so you might want to replace your subframe bushings at this time. The rear is easier to install.
